FULLBACK HEN'K MENKVELD. right, will be one of the pillars of Oregon's defense when the soccer team meets Washington State at Pullman Friday night. To win the eight-team tournament the Ducks must win three games in 26 hours, no easy chore in any sport. Menkveld’s fullback position -requires him to limit the opponents' shots at the Oregon goal and aid the goalie. The club will field one combined squad in the eight-team affair which begins Friday at Pullman. Oregon's first opponent will be Washington State "B" team in a quarterfinal game at 8 p m. Friday. The second WSU team became an unexpected tourna ment entry when Oregon State withdrew from the field. Earlier quarterfinal rounds Friday pair Washington State “A’’ and Gonzaga, Washington and Idaho State, and Montana and Idaho. Although it is the weakest team Wehfoot coach Hans Mohr mann will not overlook WSH "H" as u contender. But he ox poets (ion/.aga and Washington to bo the main throats to Ore gon's championship hopes. If the Ducks win Friday night's encounter, they will ad vance to the semifinal round at 3 pm. Saturday against the winner of the Idaho Montana game. The winner of this match will have a brief throe-hour rest before the 8 p in. championship game. Oregon's knowledge of its pos sible opponents is very limited, with last springs 9 1 win over WSU at Eugene the only pro vious competition against any of the tournament teams. A good label means the shirt is styled to last. That it’s tapered, pleated and rolled in the right places. Like this King Cotton Perma-lron shirt. 100% cotton that won't wrinkle. Labeled "Sanforized." With a softly flared button-down collar, shoulder-to-waist taper and box pleat. You can get it in stripes, solids, s^iliilSSsa^ checks or plaids. $6.00 for short sleeves, $7.00 for long. But don’t buy a sport shirt just for the plaid, color, stripe or check. Get a good sport shirt with a good label. Our sports label is the best. Look for Arrow. arnnmr narrow- _ ■MORiIH Pii, ;• £ -fi ttHtr
