The set backs which would result from a Senate so intensely oriented in one direction would require a number of years of hard work to be made up. To summarize these objections in one sentence, it is the con sidered opinion of the Krb Me mortal Student Union Board that the proposed revision in the re lationship of the Student Un ion Board to the University president is not in the best long range interests of the Univer sity, student government, or in particular, the Student Union Board and its related commit tees. Big Brother Meet Scheduled Today Individuals with spare time and a love for kids are invited to attend the first meeting of the Pioneer Program held at the Central I.ane YW-YMCA, 2055 Patterson Street, at 9 p m. today. The Pioneer Program, institut ed by the Central Lane YW • YMCA and the University Inter Fraternity Council, attempts to provide male Identification to children from families without fathers. This has become an Increasing ly important problem as many fathers are being lost either tem porarily or permanently to the Viet Nam war. Supplying a male influence is done through group activity su pervised by serious college stu dents. Though the program can not replace a missing parent, it tries to stimulate a frequent, healthy atmosphere around group activities and male contact. Young men are the primary need of the program, though women are also asked to co-op erate by planning activities.
