Committee to Urge Building Sites The Campus Planning Commit tee agreed in their special meet ing Thursday to recommend to President Flemming that the site of the proposed building for Sci ence III anti the considered sites for future science buildings be ac cepted as included in the archi tects concept study. Flemming will consider this recommendation and present it to the State Board of Higher Edu cation in December. The State Hoard will consider the building for its 19fi7-(lH biennium. Science HI has a high priority rating on the board’s budget at this time. The site is west of Emerald Confab to Hear Attorney, Agent Estate planning and life insur ance underwriting will be dis cussed today at a one-day confer ence to be held in the SU. The conference, which runs from 9:30 am. to 4:30 p.m., is sponsored by the Eugene chapter of the American Society of Char tered Life Underwriters, the School of Business Administra tion and the Center for Continu ing Education. The registration fee of $10 includes seminar ma terials and a luncheon. Edward Schlesinger, a New York attorney, and Boris Todoro vich, an agent for Provident Mu tual and a former Voice of Amer ica employee, will be the guest speakers. New Faculty Named Two new part time faculty mem bera, Tony Neil Korn and Evald J. Nielson, have been named to the Department of landscape Architecture in the School of Architecture and Allied Arts. This building is the first one on the University priority list for proposed construction. The architectural firm of Skid more, Owings, and Merrill pre sented their concept studies of the site and also some very early plans to the Campus Planning Committee Thursday. The committee approved the building basic study and author ized the architects to proceed with their preliminary drawings The committee will review these draw ings several times before final approval and recommendation to the President for the actual build ing. YR's to Plan Work for '68 The University Young Repub licans will hold their first meet ing since the 1966 elections at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Student Union. The club will start laying the ground work for 1968 at this meeting.
