University Theatre Presents 'Life of Dylan' The short, stormy, uproarious life of Welsh poet Dylan Thom as will be paraded across the University Theatre stage at 8 ” p.m. today, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tickets for “Dylan,” a series of 29 vignettes based on Dylan Thomas’ lecture tours in Amer ica during the last two years of his life are on sale at the Uni versity theatre box office. They are $1.50 each for weeknight performances, and $2 for week ends. Dylan Thomas was one of the few people who ever becomes a legend in his own lifetime. His life was surrounded by raucous hu mor, wit and rowdiness. “Dylan" has captured much of the flavor of this remarkable man’s days. Sidney Michael's play is adapt ed from two of the best biographi cal studies of Dylan Thomas — "Leftover Life to Kill” by his wife, Caitlin, and "Dylan Thomas in America” by American poet John Malcolm Brinnin. Michaels shows the women who chased Dylan and the women he chased. The play is sometimes touch ed with sadness and poignancy, but for the most part, it is laced with the life spirit of this man who loved language, living and liquor, and died at an early age because of too much of each of these. Horace Robinson, director of the University Theatre, directs this play. The set was designed by Anthony Kadlec. UCI A ?UV< VTIIIIIGId Will uc QIIIIUUIIUCU UJ ^ December 1.
