Vour editorial would have us blindly believe that the right wing is the larg est offender. However, having been there upon occasion, I have discovered that when a "child ish right-winger" attempts to debate, he is not immune to the grown up jeers of the "left wing.’’ Concerning the Kmerald cov erage of the Jim Hill contro versy (created by front page coverage of a pun), you were very thorough, for one side. You allowed Steve Goldschmidt to propose a "rally” while you re fered to Jim Hill's proposal as a "protest.” The connotation of these words need not be ex plained, they speak for your fairness. I know that you had Mr. Hill’s reply, explaining the anti-vigil, to Bill Camp’s open letter in time to publish it before the "rally." But we realize that this would have been an unduly just action by the Emerald. Being the only newspaper for a community of more than 10, 000, the Kmerald should not resort to childish actions, but I give first thought to fair cover age of both sides of an issue. Counseling Grant Over $140,000 Grants totaling $142,552 have been received from the U.S. Of fice of Vocational Rehabilitation to support the graduate program in rehabilitation counseling at the University during the present fiscal year. The program, headed by Mar tin H. Acker, associate professor of education, has received in creasing federal support for about the last ten years. The program began in the 1956-57 academic year. The grants provide a number of graduate students with tui tion and trainee stipends in a two-year program leading to a master’s degree.
