Plans Folk Fest
Plans for a Folk Fest were
made at the Campus CARE meet
ing Jan. 17. The Folk Fest will
be held from 8 p.m. to 10 p m
Friday, Feb. 4 Its purpose is to
raise money to send food to In
dia’s twelve million hungry peo
ple.
The program will include folk
singers, instrumentalists on re
corders, piano and guitar, the
University Folk Dancers, and
hopefully, performances by in
ternational students.
There will be no admission
charge. Contributions will be ac
cepted during and after the Fest.
India is now facing droughts
and possible famine. According
to recent reports in the Eugene
Register Guard, twelve million of
India's people are in “dire dis
tress” and one hundred million
people are expected to be af
Campus CARE hopes to raise
enough money to send over a
few tons of food. One hundred
dollars will send one ton of food.

Job Corps Program
Dismal' Says Green
