Heard a senior in Music Performance from Salem, on Jan 6. DICKINSON— PARTRIDGE Jo Ann Dickinson announced he engagement to Bdward Partridge in a candle light service at Rebec House on Jan « Miss Dickinson is a freshman in Fine and Applied Arts and is from Lebanon Ore Partridge Is an employee of the Curtis Construction Company and is from Sweet Home, Ore. The couple plan to he married in the spring of 1967. GROPPO—SMITH Marilyn Tina Groppo passed a candle at the Alpha Chi Omega house Jan 10 to anounce her pinning to Ollie Smith, a member of Delta Tau Rho Miss Groppo, a sophomore from Portland, is in Health Education. Smith, a junior at Portland State College, is also from Portland and majoring in psychology. HAGAN—MOORE Mary Ann Hagan, a senior in French from Portland, passed a candle at the Kappa Kappa Gamma Mother Daughter luncheon Dec. 38 to announce her engagement to J Peter Moore. Moore is a grad uate student in Insurance from Portland who is a member of Phi Delia Theta. The couple will be married in the fall. JOH N SON—JOH NSON Lynda Johnson announced her pinning to Phil Johnson on Sept 28 Miss Johnson is a sophomore in drama from San Marino, Calif. Johnson is a member of Phi Kappa Psi and a junior in marketing from Lodi, Calif. SLV—COOPER Carol Sly of Pi Beta Phi, a sophomore in foreign languages from Portland, announced her pinning to Tom Cooper, a member of Chi Psi who is a sophomore in pro dentistry on Jan. 10. Cooper is from Piedmont, Calif. ABBOTT—JACKSON Wendy Elise Ablxdt passed a candle at the Kappa Kappa Gamma Louse to announce her engagement to Bruce George Jackson of Sigma Phi Epsilon Miss Abtxitt is a senior in general science from Bellevue Jackson is a senior in business from Portland. RUCK—MACPHERSON Kay Buck, a junior in French from Medford, announced her en gagement to Don Macpherson also of Medford on Jan. 3 at McClain Hall Macpherson is a graduate of the University of Portland and is a teacher and football coach at Myrtle Point. MARIS—HILL A candle was passed at Alpha Chi Omega by Sue Maris to announce her engagement to Tom Hill of Oregon State, a senior in civil engin eering from Salem. Miss Maris, also from Salem, is a junior in ele mentary education The anouncement was made Jan. 6. RODGERS—TRIPP Sonno Rodgers passed a candle at a Chi Omega dinner to announce her pinning to Tom Tripp, a Sigma Chi junior in economics from Portland on Dec 7 Miss Rodgers is a sophomore in liberal arts from LaCanada, Calif. Sedivy is a junior at Oregon State in electrical engineering. The engagement was announced Jan. 4. IMDIEKE—GREGORY Lonnie Imdieke, a Pi Beta Phi from Portland, passed a candle Jan 4 to announce her engagement to John Gregory, a business major at Portland State College. Miss Imdieke is a senior in Spanish Lrcgory is a junior from Portland. They plan a July 3 wedding SWANDER—OTTOSEN Joni Swandcr, a junior in sociology from Everett, Wn„ announced her engagement Dec. 6 at the Alpha Omicron Pi house. She and Jim Ottosen plan to be married June 18. Ottosen, a December graduate in business, is an Alpha Tau Omega from Eugene. GANDT—ROWELL Julia Kathleen Gandt of Medford announced her engagement to John Arthur Rowell of St. Helens at her home on Dec. 18 Miss Gandt is currently working for a teaching certificate and was a mem ber of Alpha Gamma Delta, before she graduated in 1965. Rowell is working for a Masters in geography and was a member of Pi Kappa Sigma. The wedding will be in mid-July. WELCH—SIVERS Penny Welch of Pi Beta Phi, a senior in Spanish from Portland, announced her engagement to Dennis Sivers, a Phi Delta Theta at MIT who is a senior in nuclear physics. The announcement was made at the Pi Phi annual Mother daughter luncheon at the Waverly Country Club in Portland on Dec. 29. nesheim—McDonald Dayle Nesheim of Medford announcer her engagement to Mel McDonald at Mt Vernon, Wash., on Jan. 8 Miss Nesheim is a graduate j student in speech and elementary education. McDonald is a graduate in general science education. MENDENHALL—MANDIGO Sheri Mendenhall, a sophomore from Salem in social science an nounced her pinning to Evan Mandigo, a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon from McMinnville. Mandigo is a junior in social science. The pinning was announced Jan. 11. HAMILTON—ADAMS An engagement announcement was made by Suellen Mamilton, a senior in elementary education of her engagement to Gary Adams, a senior in business management Jan. 3. BIRD—HEIMBIGNER Susan Bird announced her pinning to Tom Heimbigner of Theta Chi on Oct 19 Miss Bird is a sophomore from Waldport majoring in Physical Education. Heimbigner is a sophomore from lone in Pre-Med. PCC Enrollment Rises Winter Term PORTLAND (AP) — Portland Community College has reversed the winter term registration trend, and added 61 students in the academic division. Transfers from Portland State, which lost nearly 1,000 from the fall term, were credited with the increase. Leonard Garmire, community college transfer division admin istrator, said some of the addi tions had flunked out of Port land State and some had switch ed because tuition is about $150 a year less. He said he doubted that many had transferred because of over crowding at Portland State. "We are just as crowded as they are."
