SU Committee Plans Dances The Lemon- Orange Squeeze heads the list of dances to be presented this term by the Stu dent Union Dance Committee. Traditionally this dance is held on the weekend when Oregon meets Oregon State in basketball. The dance, scheduled for March 4, will feature H. B. and the Checkmates. There is no admis sion charge. Rock 'n Roll dances are held on Saturday nights from 9-12 in the Ballroom. The music is live and there is no admission charge. Well-known bands are always scheduled for these dances. Ten tatively two are planned, one next Saturday and the other on Feb ruary 26. The committee plans four Coke ’n Combo dances on January 26. February 9, February 23, and March 9. These are held in the bottom of the SU bowl between 9:45 and 10:45. These short dan ces are designed to give smaller bands a chance to be known on campus. Only one more Bottom of the Bowl dance will be held this term from 9-12 Feb. 5. The music will be records. The committee has been con centrating on putting on a com puter dance during World Uni versity Service week in April All profits from this dance will go to U. U. S. This dance will give everyone the opportunity to meet that certain someone who matches his interests precisely. Barring any major difficulties the committee hopes to present the student body with a well run dance. Viet Cong to Get No Berkeley Blood BERKELEY. Calif. (AP)—The Medical Aid Committee admits it has failed in efforts to send blood to North Viet Nam and the Viet Cong. In a mimeographed sheet dis tributed on the University of Cal ifornia campus, the committee said the American Red Cross re fused to draw blood from some 200 would-be donors.
