Response Good To CARE Drive Officials of the recently formed campus chapter of CARE said Wednesday that response to their current fund drive has been gen erally good, but that they were surprised and annoyed by the reactions of some people. Mrs. Lee Feldman, chapter vice-chairman, and Chloe Haynes, secretary, told the Emerald that the response from the faculty has been “much more than we expected," but that they were bothered by the apathy of many students toward the cause. The group has sponsored a fund-raising table on the Student Union patio for the past five days. Students may contribute any amount, and may specify how the money is to be used. Care Will Send Food The CARE goal is $100, which would send one ton of food to other countries, according to Mrs. Feldman. So far they have col lected $73, and expect to get the rest by Friday. Mrs. Feldman, whose husband, Lee. is campus CARE president, said, “We were amazed that the mothers were so apathetic when Marx to Discuss 'Garden, Ecology' Roberto Burle Marx, landscape architect and painter from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will give a public lecture on “The Garden and Ecology.” today at 8 p.m. in Room 123 Science.
