Tri-Delts To Invite Engaged Seniors To Pansy Ring Tea BY NANCY WARREN The annual Delta Delta Delta Pansy Ring Tea will be held this year on May 5 at the tri Delt house from 2 to 5 p.m. Tire tea is a national tradition and has been held at the University of Oregon since the 1940's. This event is given in honor of en gaged senior women on the cam pus and also includes the annual scholarship awards. All engaged senior women will step through the traditional pansy ring made of moss and hundreds of fresh pansies. The highlight of the afternoon is a spring fashion show with helpful hints for trous scans. DON MARCHE-Russells spon sors this show arid contributes the clothes as well as their fashion expert. Mrs. Bessie Campbell Mrs.- Campbell has acted as com mentator and co-ordinator of these annual teas for several jears. Members of tri-deK sorori ty will model the clothes. All living organizations will he contacted and asked to submit their list of engaged senior wo men. Other special guests invited will be housemothers and house presidents. Tri-Delt alumnae, and members of the administration. IN ADDITION to a bridal fash ions show, two scholarships will be awarded. Education has been chosen by the national organiza tion of Delta Delta Delta as its major philanthropic field. Since the establishment of the Service Projects Scholarships in 1942. more than 2100 college women have received nearly S280.000 in gifts from the scholarship fund which is raised both locally and rationally.
