Miss Prom is from Harrisburg. UO Senior, Graduate Appear in Glamour Susan Hendrix, University sen ior, is shown modeling a raincoat and accessories which she wore while posing for Glamour maga zine. Glamour chose one young woman from each state to repre sent that state’s special contribu tion to fashion. Miss Hendrix was chosen to rep resent Oregon, the state “where rain makes fashion, where rain coats are chic-er than regular coats," according to the magazine. Her picture will appear in the February issue of Glamour. Joan Alforno, University of Oregon graduate and present fashion director of San Francis co's Joseph Magnin store, was chosen to represent California. Her picture also will appear on the cover of Glamour’s February issue. Miss Hendrix's outfit is a Reeves dusky-blue cotton duck raincoat with double pleats in back and front Her boots arc tall glossed black Rattina with fur linings. She is from Portland, is majoring in English, and is a member of Alpha Phi. Glamour will also be running the same contest this y ar arid information will he re JOAN ALFORNO AWS Sponsors Standards fl/leeilna v AWS reference board sponsored a meeting of all women’s living organization standards chairmen The standards chairmen partici pated in live discussions on the student discipline committee, standards committees, the Beer Pact, AWS reference board, and rules revision. Several administra tors led the discussions. Barbi Rae. general chairman, reported that she felt the meeting was a great help to standards chairman and that they would pass their findings on to their suc cessors. An AWS officer said, "Dr Hawk said something will happen to the apartment rule and that the dis cipline committee will act this year.” Panhellenic Council To Attend Workshop Panhel'onic Council members will attend a workshop at Oregon State University this Saturday along witli Panhellenic represen tatives from six other Northwest colleges and universities. General Panhellenic voted to continue informal open rush through this term with the possi bility of a formal spring rush. City Panhellenic will hold a dinner tonight honoring Univer sity President and Mrs. Arthur Flemming. Mademoiselle Chooses 8 Coeds Eight women will represent the University of Oregon on the na tional Mademoiselle College Board this year. They arc Carolyn Per kins, Patricia Ann Feeney, Mary Ann Dean, Arlene Saunders, and Cathie Wilkinson, seniors; Linda Brown, junior; Mary Farmer, sophomore; and Marcia Kump, freshman. As College Board members, they will report news, trends, and fashions involving University of Oregon women to Mademoiselle. They were chosen on the basis of talent shown in art, v/riting, fash ion. merchandising, promotion, or advertising after submitting en tries in these fields to the maga zine. These eight representatives are also eligible to compete for the twenty guest editorships that will he awarded in May. To win a guest editorship they must submit, further entries. If an1, of the eight University representatives wins an editor ship, she will be brought to New York City for June to help edit, write, and illustrate Mademoi selles August 1963 issue. She will share offices with the regular editors, advise the staff on ampus trends, interview well known personalities, and repre sent the magazine on visits to publishing houses, stores, and ad vert!.-ing agencies. Srr will also be photographed for the August issue and will be considered for future permanent staff positions. Chi Delta Phi Plans Membership Tea Chi Delta Phi. women’s nation al literary honorary, will hold a tea this Thursday evening at 7 p m. at the Sigma Kappa house. All women interested in literature p.nri creative writing are invited to attend. Tea, coffee, and cookies will be served and a short talk on what the honorary is and who may enter it will be given. Dress for the tea will be heels and Sun day clothes.
