The Pilots have posted a 4-8 record thus far this season, in cluding victories over Carroll College and Long Beach State. The Pilots present a tall start ing quintet, led by 6’8" junior center Steve Anstett. Anstett leads Portland in scoring with a 16 point average. Opposing Anstett in the post will be Oregon’s two-year letter man Glenn Moore, an agile 6’7” senior. Supporting Anstett are 6’4” junior Jim Dortch and 6'5” sen ior George Koch at the guards, IM Bowling League To Begin Today SU Recreation Director Bob Ackerman has announced that the winter term Intramural bowling leagues will commence January 8 Information from the PE de partment indicates that 43 teams have shown a desire to enter com petition this year. Steve Jones has been moved back to the guard spot he played last season to aid the back court scoring. The Pilots will be hoping to improve on their record for the season. Coach A1 Negratti is in his eighth year at the helm of the F'ortland school and has had only one losing season besides last year, when injuries hurt his squad and it finished the season at 8-18. The fine coach has a respect able 110-81 career record and cer tainly would like nothing more than to get back into his win ning ways against the Webfoots. Anstett was the second leading scorer on last year’s Pilot quintet with 331 points for a 12.7 aver age He was also the team’s lead ing rebounder with 284. Dortch was the third scorer on that team but was far back of Anstatt with 219 and an 8 4 aver age. The Catholic school in recent years has been making a bid to enter big time competition and this year it will play Oregon State and Seattle as well as the Uni versity.
