Fad eley, Lane County Democrat, com plimented University President Arthur S. Flemming, a Repub lican. and look a swipe at State Senator Walter J. Pearson, a Democrat, in a letter sent to Flemming Tuesday. Fadeley wrote the letter in the wake of Pearson’s criticism of Flemmings Lincoln Day Din ner speech, in which the Univer sity President reaffirmed his in tention to work actively in poli ties.
