Homecoming best yet chairman forecasts “Homecoming '60 promises to be one of the best ever at Ore gon." reported Homecoming chair man, Patti Claggett. In a meet ing with the Homecoming com mittee chairman Tuesday noon, the events scheduled for this weekend of October 14-16 were discussed. THERE will be a concert giv en by Roger Williams. Buddy Morrow and his “Night Train" orchestra will be featured at the Homecoming dance. This year University will play the Washington State Cougars for the last home game of the season. LAST YEAR the “V'-Show" established itself as a tradition of Homecoming. Roger Gross hasj written the script for an original1 musical comedy which will run three different nights. The theme 1 is "The Trouble With College Men.” The rally-music parade chair man, Bob Warr, stated that this year's parade would be based on new and original ideas. As in the past the parade will lead to the bonfire at Hayward Field where the Homecoming queen will be announced. TWO LUNCHEONS are sched uled for the weekend, one lunch eon for all returning Oregon Alums and the second for the class of '55, which is holding its j first reunion. 1961 Organa will be sold only during fall registration The 1961 Oregana will be sold only during fall term registra tion, Jay Jackson, business man ager of the yearbook, emphasized today. Cost of the book, which will be published in four volumes, is $6.80, the same price as last year's traditional annual. Students must return the pub lications card which they received with the registration material whether or not they purchase an Oregana. Cards will be collected at the Oregana table in the Stu dent Union Ballroom during reg istration. Each volume will be hard bound and contain over 100 pages, according to Dvvane McHolick, editor. “We feel that the new format will provide more complete cov erage of campus events and of fer greater opportunities for ex perimentation in presentation of the material,'' McHolick said, add — tCNOTE: Save Your Money!
