DAILY & SUNDAYS_1 ,LL M. I 13th at High St. Dial Dl 4-1342 I Morse Attacks GOP Program WASHINGTON (.?> Sen. Morse (D-Ore.) Thursday attacked ad ministration proposals to finance a proposed post office moderniza tion program ns “little more than a handout to business and to bankers in particular." “It would be hard to imag'ne a program that would do more good for a few bankers and less good for the nations economy," he told the Senate. "As a public works program, it is simply a sham." Private Industry Morse devoted most of his criti cism to proposals under which private industry would construct the post office buildings and then lease them to the government. “What we need.” he said, "are useful public works, such as roads, dams, post offices, and schools that will belong to the people who paid for them. And we need to have their construc tion financed with appropriations so that the expenditure will go primarily for construction and not for interest.” Delivery! “A Snack or A Meal As Near As Your Phone” 6 P.M. to Midnight Dewey's DI5-8275 Chung's Cafe STEAK & CHICKEN TOO! 26 W 7th Dl 3-1825 Your Portraits Made of you in your new Easter Outfit make the exquisite remembrance gift please phone DI 4-3432 for appointment The Fehly Studio On the campus Daylight To Obscure American Satellite CAMBRIDGE, Mass, (fl -Amer ican satellite Explorer will be in visible to moonwatch observers in the United States for the next two days because its passages occur during daylight hours, the Smithsonian Astrophysical Ob servatory announced.
