The tea idea began about seven
years ago when AWS, upon dis
covering the plight of a needy
Cottage Grove family, held a tea
in Gerlinger hall, during which
Oregon sororitlea donated Christ
mas gifts for the family.
Since the first tea. AWS Christ
mas teas have been held at differ
ent sorority houses, and both so
rorities and fraternities have do
nated gift boxes of toys and food.
The tea project begun on this
campus has now been taken up
by other AWS groups as a re
sult of a tea report given at a
national AWS convention.

fast this year, due to the limited
facilities at their present location

The fourteen-year-old tradition
will be resumed next year. Hank
ins said, following completion of
the fraternity's new house.
Last year the affair drew 202
