Westminister Foundation Addison president of Pit ts burgh-Xenia Theological seminary, Pittsburgh, Pa., will be the featured guest at two West minster house events this week enrt. Tonight at 8 I^eltch will nteet with all University faculty member* and religious directors for an Informal coffee hour where he will discuss current theological trends and religion In higher education. Saturday a r>ny Hetreat will be held at Westminster house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During three separate periods. Leitch W'lll diseuss Martin Luther and John Calvin, and then he will compare the two. A registration fee of 50 cents will cover the cost of the luncheon. All students have been Invited to attend. Further information may be obtained by calling Westminster house, DI 4-4143. Sunday morning, leitch will give me sermon at both morn ing services <9:30 and 11 i at Cen tral Presbyterian church. Sunday evening a cost fellow ship supper will be held at 5:30 which will be prepared by the ladies of the First Presbyterian church of Springfield. Students have been invited to attend the dedication services at the Westminster Presbyterian church, Coburg and Harlow Roads on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. David B. White is minister. Canterbury Club Sunday evening at 6. vespers will is* chanted by Father Wal ster at St. Mary’s church. A gar den party will follow at the resi lience of Rev. and Mrs. Walster. Ti ansportntion will be provided from the church. Father Walster will continue his Knquirers class on Tuesday from 6:30 to 7 p.m. in the Stu dent Union. The room number will be posted. The class is study ing the history, government, faith, worship and ritual of the Kpiscopal church. All interested persons have been invited to attend. Wednesday at 7 a.m. Holy Com munion will be celebrated in Ger linger hnll with Father Walster as Celebrant and Father Smith assisting. A breakfast will follow the mass. A regular Sunday evening meet ing will be held at 6 p.m. In St. Mary’s church. Officers for next year and URC representatives will be elected. Emerald Baptist Sunday Is Baptist Education day at the Emerald Baptist church. The Roger Williams Fel lowship will conduct opening de votions at the 9:45 a.m. Sunday School hour. Guest speaker at the 11 a.m. worship service will be J. A. Jo nasson, dean of administration at Linfield college. Speaker for the evening service at 7:30 will be Linnea Nelson of Central Philip pine college, Iloilo, P.I. Students have been invited to attend these services. Christian House This weekend the Regional con ference of the Disciples Student Fellowship will open at Menucha on the Columbia river. Twenty Christian house delegates will at tend. Cars will begin leaving at 3 p,m. today and will return early Sunday afternoon. Delegates are asked lo call June Fuleo at DI 5-0177 or Christian house at DI 5-3401 about transportation. Sunday morning donut hour will be at 0:15 followed by the Bible study period led by Victor |P .Morris. The 5:30 program will be a double feature including a "Little Menucha” given by the returning conference delegates, and a World University Service panel discussion by four foreign students. Christian house students will join with other members of the University Religious Council in the URC potluck dinner at St. Mary’s Episcopal.church at 5:30 p.m. for the installation of new officers. Christian house repre sentatives are Don Smith and Roger Weaver. .■SHG Congregational Sunday morning at 11 the Uni versity class will study the per sonal philosophy of Jesus from three of the Gospels of the New Testament. The three gospels will be compared as to their views of Jesus’ philosophy. Gioup discus sion will be held in the minister's study. The Congregational church is located at 13th and Ferry. All interested students have been in vited to attend. Newman Club Sunday evening meetings of Newman club during spring term have been cancelled due to the heavy schedules of the students. Replacing Sunday evening meet ings will be meetings held dur ing the week. A social hour of dancing or recreation will be held following each weekly meeting. The meeting this week is planned for Wednesday at 7 p.m. if there are no conflicts for that hour. Father Murane has started a Catholic Enquiry class for a I! Catholic or non-Catholic students on campus who arc interested. All phases of Catholic life, re ligion, art, literature, and cul tui e will he discussed by the group. The class will be held Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at New man hall whieh is loeated near the campus on 749 E. 15th St. Southern Baptist Sunday school at the First Southern Baptist church at 25th and Harriet St. will begin at 9:45 a.m. and church will follow. Busses will pick up students wish ing transportation in front of the Student Union at 9:30 a.m. Bus rides will also be furnished to i the Sunday night service for Training Union, evening worship and youth fellowship. The Sun day evening bus will leave the SU at 6:45.
