At Alpha Gamma Delta
Wedding bells rang five times for the Alpha Gam s this summer.
Those married include Donna Knoll and Jim Whitty, USN; Nancy
Hall and Robert Ogle, Sigma Phi Epsilon; Tamson Breese and
Arthur Woodman, USN; Sally Mollner and Don Call, and Betty
Ferkey and Curt Wieberg, a University of Washington student.
Also in the news this summer, Sharlene Stewart, who is now
attending the University of Michigan, announced her engagement
to Dan McComas. of the University. Early this fall Barbara Gilpin
announced her engagement to Bill Bode, Sigma Chi.
At Chi Omega
Of resent interest at the Chi Omega house was the pinning of
Lois Kathan and Dick DuBosch, ATO. Luella Adams has announced
her engagement to Jean Boddewyn; Ruth Joseph to Dave Wisnom,
a Phi Delt at Willamette; and Marcia Newland to Loren Loveland,
Phi Kappa Sigma. Those married during the summer were Pat
Finnegan and Jack Adair. Delta Tau Delta; Jerri Austin and Bob
Adair, also a Delt; Joyce Jones and Tom Elliot, SAE; Betty Vol
stead and Jack Finnegan, of Notre Dame, and Allison LeRoux and
Russ Sara, ATO.
At Delta Gamma
Summer weddings at the DG house included Dorothy Carlson
and Don Parr. SAE; Ditsy Fields and Roger Zener, Phi Gamma
Delta; Ann Steiner and Bob Mausshardt, Phi Delt; Sally Erickson
and Don Stark, Fiji; Sue Erickson and Ambrose Cronin, and Sandra
Price and Gordon Rennie, Phi Kappa Sigma. Gail Bowman and
Gordon Louis Wiltshire recently became engaged, and Laurie
Goodell announced her pinning to Buzz Kelley, an ATO at Oregon
State.
At Kappa Alpha Theta
Three Theta sophomores announced their engagements at surprise
parties this fall. They were Betty Ann Dobler to Dick Buren, Beta;
Mary Heideman to Ed Halberg, Sigma Chi; and Shirley Bier to
Dave Lowe, also a Sigma Chi. Also announcing their engagement
this term were Mary Waddell and Con Sheffer, Sigma Nu. Sum
mertime brought ten Theta weddings. They were Ann Bankhead
and Tom Moss, SAE; Jane Slocum and Rocky Gill, Beta; Bev
Moore and Jerry Anderson, Phi Psi; Ashley Dixon and Rod Hestand,
Sig Ep; Ann Lawrence and John Kotekamp, ATO; Paula Curry
and Nick Marineau, Phi Delt from Oregon State; Ann Gerlinger
and Ron Lyman, ATO; Ann Hopkins and Ted Anderson, ATO;
Molly Martin and Jack Kreiger, SAE, and Jo Hayes and Neil
Dwyer, Phi Psi. Recently pinned are Marion McDowell to Jim
Teneyck, an ATO at Oregon State; Dot Kopp to Bob Summers,
Theta Chi and ASUO president; Sally Plummer to Ed Zottola, a
Beta from OSC, and Julie Lewis to Roger Sheils, Fiji.
At Pi Beta Phi
After graduation last summer four Pi Phi seniors were married.
They were Mary Bennett to Harold Toliver, Sigma Chi; Pat McColm
to Milan Thompson, a Lambda Chi at Santa Barbara; Diane God
dard to Jack Pile, and Eleanor Seaman to Mac Montague,
a Beta and a graduate of the UO law school. Bobette Gilmore and
Myron Bagley, ATO, were married this fall. Myron is finishing his
senior year at Oregon and Bobette is currently employed by the
university. Shirley McCoy announced her engagement to Don
McIntyre, Phi Psi, early this fall. Marcia Dutcher and Gary Jones,
Theta Chi, who were engaged last spring are planning a March
wedding. Mary Sweeney is now wearing the pin of Ray Hill, Beta,
and Jody Klahre, the pin of Don Crawford, ATO.

Schwering Fund
Exchange Held
Women’s living organizations
will participate in the first of
the year’s series of Hazel
Schwering dinners tonight, Nan
cy Moore, president of heads
of houses, announced today.
Women from each house will
exchange with women in another
' for dinner, with each paying a
dime. Proceeds from these din
ners go to the Hazel Schwering
scholarship fund, established in
memory of the former dean of
women at the University. Judy
Harris, senior in chemistry, holds
the award for the current year.
YWCA House Reps
Discuss Campaign
There will be a meeting of
YWCA house representatives at
4 p.m. today. Final steps of the
membership campaign will be
discussed.
The program will include dis
cussion of program plans and
how to keep the old and new
members informed of Y activi
ties.
If any house representatives
can not attend this meeting they
are asked to send a representa
tive in their place, according to
Sally Stadelman. publicity chair

Public Affairs Group
Plans Election Forum
The first planning meeting of
the YWCA public affairs group
will be held at noon Thursday in
the YW office in Gerlinger hall.
All YWCA members or any
campus women interested in pub
lic affairs are welcome. Plans for
the term and for a special pre
election forum will be discussed.

To Hold Meeting Today
