Ph. 4-411S 120 Air, Army R OTC Review Slated Annual inspection of the Uni versity’s combined Air and Army ROTC units by officers of the Fourth Air Force and the Sixth .A rmy will be held Thursday. According to the military science department, students and faculty are invited to attend the exercises. It will be one of two joint re views planned for spring term. The other one will be held June 1 in honor of military science gradu ates. A practice drill was held Thurs day'of Air and Army units which usually meet on different days. No Tuesday drill is scheduled for next week, but Air ROTC students will meet Thursday at 1 p.m. Weekend Heads Name Helpers Chairmen of three Junior Week end committees have announced the appointment of subcommittee heads. Karen Terry, and Eleanor Johnston. If Questions on Dates, Sewage Asked At Annual YMCA Jr.-Sr. Breakfast “How do you dispose of your sewage ?” “What is a date? What do you do on a date?” These were the questions which foreign students Gisela Schmidt and Dirk Schepers pointed at Beverly Buckley, YWCA president, at the annual junior senior breakfast Sunday morning in Carson Hall. The question and answer ex change characterized the break fast program titled, “Innocence Abroad,” in which Miss Schmidt and Schepers quizzed Miss Buck I State Music Fete Listed For May The annual Oregon State Music contest will bring 27 bands, 5 or chestras, 25 choral groups and 300 soloists from Oregon high schools to the University campus May 5 and 6. In addition there will be 50 small vocal and instrumental en sembles. These musicians won superior ratings in their district contests. The contestants come ^from high schools in Tigard, Salem, Beaver ton, Cottage Grove, Grants Pass, Gresham, La Grande, Lebanon, North Bend, Portland, and Prine ville. Chairmen for the event are John Stehn, professor of music, and Donald W. Allton, professor of or gan and theory. The contest is sponsored by the Oregon School Activities Associa tion and the Oregon Music Educa tors Conference. Mailing Labels For Moms' Issue Due Tuesday Stickers for the Mothers’ Week end edition of the Emerald should be addressed today and Tuesday, Promotion Chairman Kay Kucken berg said Sunday. House representatives are to turn the addressed stickers in to Miss Kuckepberg at the Delta Gamma house by Tuesday night in preparation for mailing the spe cial edition to Oregon mothers Thursday. Karla Van Loan, breakfast chair man, was mistress of ceremonies. Decorations followed a “Spring time” theme. All University for eign women students were guests of the YWCA. Boner; programs, Barbara Clarin and Pat Johnson; hospitality, Kay Kucken berg; and publicity, Jackie Prit zen.
