Old Oregon Has Letter from Aiken The December 1949 issue of Old Oregon, alumni magazine, features Jim Aiken’s annual coach’s letter. Aiken expresses his views of the past football season and his hopes for 1950. Also included in the issue are “Scholastic Marshall Plan” an in terview of foreign students by Lorna Larson, and an article on “The Emerald, Oregon Romance.” Beverly Nelson, freshman from Hendricks Hall, appears on the magazine cover, photographed through a wreath of Christmas holly. Salem Panhellenic To Hear Wickham Mrs. Golda P. Wickham, direc tor of women’s affairs, will speak to members of the Salem City Panhellenic at a 1 p.m. luncheon meeting today on the Willamette University campus. Subject of her talk will be, “What a City Panhellenic Can Do for the University.” She will also, explain University rushing rules and procedures. AFTER MASTER’S Eugene Maier, president of Gamma Delta, Lutheran student group, will continue at Oregon next year to receive his master’s degree. “I’ve spent more time studying than anything else,” he admitted, “but activities and social life do play an important part.” Last year’s president of Univer sity House, Eleanor Ribbans is now a graduate assistant in soci ology. Her ultimate goal is psy chiatric social work, but first she will work for a master’s and go to a professional school of social work, preferably in New York.
