On the Air By Marty Weitzner Radio honorary Kappa Rho Omicron planning an Oregon broadcaster's meeting on campus? Here's a chance for someone to make some contacts . . . Interesting drama coming up next Thursday on the Workshop series. Concerns a man who puts himself on trial to see whether he Was justified in giving up his life jduring World War III. Written by hn undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin . . . ; Speaking of Wisconsin, w'hat would our radio division be without jthe “Big Ten”? The entire radio ’faculty. Dr. Alburey Castell (who broadcasts over KOAC), and Mrs. jzonda Montgomery (whose “Piano ^Portraits” are heard over the state Station) have all been connected With Midwestern universities. | Trend is nothing new, since last [year’s faculty, Glenn Starlin and Bob Davy came from Iowa and Wisconsin respectively . . . Here we go again, but there is action on the KDUK front! The department, afraid to commit themselves because of possible red ;faces, has set a deadline for either [getting a solution of current prob lems, or giving the student body [insight into the mysterious situa tion. Big problem is one of engineer ing rather than of administration. Staff and program schedule have already been lined up . . . Audiences are welcome at KOAC broadcasts. There's a chance you may be allowed inside the control booth (especially radio students) if you clear with members of the department beforehand. . . Question- Might not conversa tions between the radio division and the I.F.C. and other campus groups result in a GOOD campus radio station? Further question With all the “talent" floating around this uni versity, what are the possibilities for a variety show over KOAC? . . . A writer asks, “What's become of the women who used to hook rugs?" Maybe their time isn't up yet. FOR SALE - '46 Ford Tudor, super Deluxe, R & H.
