Coalition Party Meets -To Drum Participation The TJHA council, composed of interested people from all non Orsek bloc living organizations, met I ant night to familiarize stu dent* with UHA and encourage maximum student participation in the forthcoming campus elections. "We are trying to build Interest In the coming elections,” Walt Kreauff, UBA president, explained, "We want to get people out to vote. The budget requested for estab lished activities, the governor cut by $150,000 and the legislative committee threw out $200,815; leaving a budget of $1,848,240, The joint legislative ways and means committee action is subject to review amt confirmation by the legislature. The UHA nominations procedure was mapped out at the meeting. Petition deadline is net for noon April 9. The following day execu tive council petitioner** will be in terviewed at 3:115 p.m. at the Phi Kappa Hlgma house. Class office petitioners will be Interviewed on April 12. The first general assembly, at which nominations will be present ed, and accepted from the floor, will be held April 14. The second general assembly for final nomina tions and selection of candidates will be April 19 in McArthur court. Petitions may be turned in at the A HUD president's office in Emerald hall, or to any member of the steering committee. Steering committee members wore listed in Thursday’s Emerald. Petitions should be acccompanied by an eli gibility slip from the dean’s office. Bob Miller, co-publicity chairman of the UHA explained ASUO re quirements. The AH1JO constitution provides In Section 3, clause 1, that any student who has completed at least three terms at the University and who bus 110 credit hours is eligible for number 1 and 2 posi tions ASUO and senior elasss of fices. Two terms at the University, not Jess than 74 hours and no more than 110 are required for junior dess offices. Those petitioning for sophomore eluss offices should also have completed two terms at the University, and also have com pleted at least 24 hours, but no more than 73 hours. Cuthbert Given Architecture Office F. A. Cuthbert, professor of landscape architecture, has been elected vice-president of the west ern region of the American Society of Landscape Architects. A meeting' of the group was held in San Francisco during the latter part of March. Elimination Scheduled (Con/fHiifd from fnigt vnt) in the group.
