Wesley Nicholson to Lead •Weekly Study, Discussion Series A weekly study and discussion series centered around the ques • tion “What is a liberal faith?’’ .will start Thursday ac 4 p.m. in the first floor lounge of Gerlinger hall. The discussion, sponsored by »Plymouth club, Congregational , college group, will be under the guidance of the Rev. Wesley G. 1 Nicholson. ' In the course of the study, the . liberal faith will be related to the | well-ordered life, and its compat ibility with the facts of science, *■ philosophy, and other branches of knowledge will be examined.By the nature of its wide and flexible ap proach the discussion will hold a wide appeal for University stu dents. The Rev. Nicholson has spent a great portion of his life on and . near college campuses. Following four years on the Harvard campus he spent five years on the campus * at UCLA, four years near the Cal Tech campus in Pasadena, and the past four years in Eugene. “Through his appreciation of the students’ viewpoint, he is equipped - to make the discussion series one of intense value and interest," ac cording to Warren Miller, Ply 1 mouth club, president. S. Davidson, associate professor of anthropoligy, at 8:15 tonight at alumni hall. Dr. Davidson will address a meeting of the Anthropology club on the campus, and will use mate rial gathered in 1938 and 1939 while he was in Australia. The information to be presented has not been published, and very little is known of this type art, ac cording to Dr. Davidson. Austra lia is .the only place in the world where this art is still being ap plied.
