McGraw, veter ans’ administrator. Failure to turn in thes certifi cates promptly may result in the delayed payment of subsistence. Each veteran attending school un der Public Law 346—GI Bill of Rights—must surrender a certifi cate in order to have financial as sistance for books and tuition as well as subsistence. Veterans are urged to supply the guidance center with their lo cal address and to keep that of fice currently notified of any change in address. Advising the post office of a change is not suf ficient to guarantee delivery of subsistence checks. A postman may not deliver a subsistence check to an address at which the payee is not currently living. Therefore many veterans who have intended that their checks be mailed to their home address will benefit by promptly submitting a change of address through the local guidance center. C. A. Pittman, veterans’ admin istration representative from the branch central office, Seattle, Washington, will be at the local guidance center Thursday, April 18. "Veterans having problems concerning their educational bene fits and subsistence from the serv icemen’s readjustment act or the disabled veterans’ vocational re habilitation program—Public Law 1—should contact him on that day,” suggests Mr. McGraw.
