The civilian basketball league got underway the other night
with two wins registered by the Steiwer Boomers. These were
the only two games played.
Schedules for the games will be posted on the bulletin board
in the PE building and will also appear in the Emerald.
Bob Davis and his Steiwer hall team rolled around Campbell
ao iiiejr ueiecittju mem oz to o.
This game was closer than the
score shows. The entire team kept
feeding the ball to Bob Davis and
he made 21 of his team’s points.
The Steiwer Boomers ran into
tougher opposition than they ex
pected when they met Mason's
Wonders. In its entirety the game
was close with the lead changing
constantly. It was in the last 10
seconds of play that Monahan of
the Boomers sank the winning]
i
shot to make the score Iti to 15 in
favor of the Boomers.
If the coming- games in the in
tramurals are as interesting as
the first games played, this will be
a very successful season for the
league.
Hobby’s squad is hard at work
now preparing for the coming
games with Idaho. The squad as a
whole is showing great, improve
ment and will be in good condition
when they meet the Vandals.
