fan Wessler Plays Villain In ‘Wacth* Black Friday is the opening of the University theatre’s fall term production, “Watch on the Rhine.” Like all Friday the 13ths, interesting things will be hap pening—things like suspicion, Nazi underhand work, and vil lainy. The villain of this production fblayed by Dan Wessler, a fresh en on the campus this year. Not only will he frighten little boys, little girls, and the audi ence, but he terrifies the cast in to a state of collapse each night at rehearsal. His deep, rolling. German accent may have quite a bit to do with it, together with his 6 feet 3 inches of masculin ity. “Tech” Wessler is a Portland man from Lincoln and has played in several Civic theater produc tions. After graduation, he tells us, he worked a term at Meier & Frank’s and then came down to the University for his first year. In private life, Marlborough smoking Wessler is a classical music fan, even to the point of WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR . . . . . . after the Homecoming' game is shown here . . . the entire Univer sity student body is determined a similar scene won’t take place after the game this afternoon. having taken several years of singing lessons.
