Gracious Queen Annabelle and Five Princesses
To Part Curtains on 'Arabian’ Junior Weekend
By RAY SCHRICK
"Open sesame ..." and lo, the
University of Oregon will open to
day!
The magic command/ entrance to
treasures of Arabian Nights, will
spread wide the gates of Junior
Weekend and to a recreation of the
land of Aladdin, genii, and magic
lamps.
A campus luncheon at 12 o'clock
will be first campus-wide meeting
of mothers and friends in a week
end thrown from the world of facts
to fantasy.
Queen Annabelle Dow and her
court of four princesses will rule a
magic realm through fun and se
riousness, through state and frolic,
through all the wonders that made
Arabian Nights a fairyland of en
chantment to the Oriental eye.
Coronation, mock canoe fete,
baseball, and tonight a Junior Prom
will be major events in a program
designed to keep each minute in
maximum use.
Clearing campus skies last night
pointed to a weekend free from the
wiles of rainy weather. Prepared for
any occasion, each event will run
exactly to schedule.
