Gurley’s chief aides in selling the tri-season, ducats to students are to be Kenneth Erickson, Bil lie Christensen, and Louis Torge son. House representatives have been named in each living or ganization. No term-to-term cards will be used, although students who en roll later in the year may ob tain special tickets. For fall term enrollees, a $9 ticket will be sold, covering the whole year’s activ ities. If paid for during fall term registration, the $9 ducat entitles holders to a $1 discount on the Oregana. Spencer announced fall term plans for in struction to as many as possible of the 160 applicants who have signed up for the CAA course this fall. • The summer school enrollment of 60 birdmen was the maximum permitted any college. During the school year 50 students took the flying course, which was the largest CAA enrollment in the seventh region, the Pacific coast area. Spencer suggested that a pos sible solution to the extra-large enrollment may be the division of the course into two sections of about 50 each, so that a larger group may be handled for the fly ing instruction. Advanced train ing may possibly be offered to last year’s students, he said. University students who take the work, consisting of ground training and solo flying, must be American citizens and should have completed their freshman year of college. A physical exam ination is also provided. Interested students may con tact Mr. Spencer for further in formation. Stehn Calls for Future Bandsmen An early call for all prospective band members was issued last night by Director John Stehn when he asked that all interested in playing in the football band contact him as soon as possible after school opens. "The band will be greatly en larged this year and we want ev eryone who can play an instru ment at our first turnout." Stehn said. Included in the band's sched ule, beside playing at all home football games, is a trip to Port land for the Oregon-Washington game.
