Music Goes With Food At Campus Luncheon Today Dances This Evening Will Draw Large Crowd Of Visitors Students will eat at the big campus luncheon in McArthur court start ing at 11:30 a. m. and ending at 1 p. m. today to the tune of Bur ton ’s Co-Ed orchestra. The latter lias offered its services free of charge for the occasion. The menu of the lunch is com posed of the following: Creamed chicken on biscuits, brown bread sandwiches, green olives, sweet pickles, ice cream sandwiches, cof fee, apples. To supply the huge crowd, Mrs. Henry W. Davis, di rector of the halls of residence, and Nellie Johns, student chairman of the luncheon, have ordered 1500 pounfls of chicken, 200 loaves of bread, 40 pounds of butter, 2d gal lons each of olives and pickles, 400 bricks of ice cream, and 2d pounds of coffee. Students are urged to assist in keeping the floor of McArthur court clean. A great deal depends on their co-operation as to how soon the floor will be ready for the underclass dance in the evening. The Homecoming dances are big affairs and this is especially true of the combined alumni and upper class dance in the Woman’s build ing. Previous to the latter will be the alumni reception in Alumni hall at 6 p. m. The announcement of | prizes awarded for* the best Home-' coming sign will be made, at the dances. Patrons and patronesses at the \ alumni dance and reception have been announced in previous issues of the Emerald. Governor and Mrs.! Patterson will be among them. McKinzev, superintendent of grounds and buildings, co-operating; Nellie Johns, student chairman; Ruth Burcham, assistant chairman; Kwama, Helen Peters, chairman; Phi Theta Epsilon, Clita Wald, chairman; To-Ko-Lo, Harold Kelly, chairman; Jim Swindels, chairman of clean-up; Thespians, Women’s Order of “O”; Oregon Knights.
