Poison Oak.
Q. Having suffered for some time
with an attack of poison oak, I have
been physically and facially unable
to call forth even a faint smile at
Professor Barker’s mirth provokers.
I fear the hook. What shall I do
to avert this calamity?—L. A. Hol
den.
A. Your position is indeed a sad
one. We can suggest a remedy for
the “oak.” However, in the other
case you will simply have to face the
music. I am afraid that you are be
yond human aid.—Editor.

Q. Having received what is vul
garly termed the “gaff hook” from
several prominent co-eds, I am ap
pealing to you, dear editor, for ad
vice. I am really a handsome boy,
and besides, you know, I am prom
inent in student affairs, being none
the less than student manager of the
boy’s ball team, and also cheer leader.
—Constant Reader.
A. Personal appearance is first re
quisite with the fair ones. However,
in your case we will have to use other
means. Purchase a Carson’s Guide
to good conversation, and try to be
come a vocal sprinter.—Editor.
Q. Being a stranger in the city, I
would like to be directed to a hos
pital.—X. Y. Z.
A. Go tell Sap Latourette or Jim
my Roberts who you are, and you will
find one.

Q. Can you advise me how to
properly heat and ventilate a base
ment room? Several of the male
members of my classes seem to be
overcome with an irresistible desire
for sleep.—F. L. Barker.
A. Are you sure that the fault
lies in the heating and ventilation?
Suggest that they sleep at night.
POSTMASTER BAWLS UP
QUEENER’S CAMPAIGN
Through a fortuitous juxtaposition
of circumstances, the Eugene postal
service has succeeded in permanently
queering Jack Shattuck with the
Gamma Phis. A delicately scented,
lavender tinted envelope, addressed
to “Dusty,” was the weapon used by
the local postoffice.
The letter was unfortunately
placed in the Gamma Phi box and
was discovered at 806 Alder yester
day by Mr. Shattuck in one of his
perennial calls. The recipient was so
unmindful of satisfying the natural
curiosity of the Gamma Phis, as to
refuse to read the missive aloud. He
retired instead to the neutral ground
of the waiting station across the
street, where he perused his tender
apistle in quiet.
