S. C. Only Games of Interest. Manager Geary today received word from Washington University, saying that it would be utterly impossible for them to play Oregon in baseball this spring. For a while it was thought that games could be ar ranged, but Washington’s manager writes that, owing to the opposition of the Washington faculty in regard to an Oregon trip, and to their scho lastic requirements for a player’s eli gibility, a game is out of the ques tion. This news is a severe blow to our already light baseball schedule. Mr. Geary has been working hard trying to enlarge it, but so far has had small success. Interest in this sport has dropped since last spring, and from the present outlook, Pullman will be the only conference college that will play Oregon. The schedule at the present time includes games as follows: Schedule Follows: M. A. A. C., April 24, at Eugene. Washington State College, May 7, 8, at Eugene. Albany Colts, May 16, at Albany. Willamette University, May 17, at Salem. M. A. A. C., May 18, at Portland. Willamette will probably play a re turn game in Eugene, but at the pres ent time no date has been arranged. There is also a possibility of a South ern Oregon trip, and in case the Cal ifornia nine repeat their trip of last year, games will also be scheduled with them. Arthur J.
