Church in Portland was the scene Sept. 23 of the wedding of I.'ancy Wilson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles r. WU son of Roseburg, and Lt. John R. Eskeldson, U.S. Air Force, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Eskeldson of Lebanon. The 4 p.m. single ring cere mony was performed by Dr. Paul S. Wright before 150 glPStS. . j The bride's father gave her in marriage. She was clad in a full-length gown of lace which had been worn by her sister, Mrs. Donald Qucsenberry of Patterson, Calif. Roseburg Toastmistrcss Club met recently at tlie Grand Jury room in the courthouse. Golda Nickell, president, welcomed tho members and guests Jano Hart man, Mollie Peterson, Edith Roberts, Miriam Hill and Mar- lys Parkhurst. Frances Alexander, topicmis- tress, asked each member to re count some humorous incident in their lives. Induction of n e w member Bertha Stockfisch was conducted by Maple Lyons. Following the business meet ing, Toastmistress Frances Lu- oma introduced Barbara Alex ander, who rave a most instruc tive talk on education, followed by a word test by Jackie David son, lexicologist. Iva Schwcppc discussed pros and cons of the tax bill, and Maple Lyons spoke on "What is a Toastmistrcss?" Mollie Peterson demonstrat-i cd changes in a black basic dress, using various accessories Barbara Alexander acted as model. Golda Nickell gave the timer's report, after which Edith Rob e ts evaluated the meeting. Ber tha Stockfisch gave the closing thought. Class Has Meet The Women's Bible Study Class of tho Urnpqua Sunday School met Friday morning at the Munson home on Joclson Road. At 12:30, refreshments were served to Mrs. Lester; Thomas, Mrs. Dale Judd, Mrs, Dave Henry, Mrs. Dean Hen ry and the hostess. The next study will beon Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. was secured by a dainty Juliet cap, and her flowers were white roses and stephanotis. Mrs. D. V. Macdonald ot Eu gene, sister a' the bride, was matron of honor. Mrs. Queseir berry and Miss Marilyn Eskeld son of Lebanon, sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids They were charming in cycla men pink sheath frocks of taf feta with full oversku't. Their bouquets were cascades of pale pink dahlias. David Eskeldson was best man for his brother. Ushering duties were performed by Kent Wells of Lebanon and J. C Chalmers and Darryl Duncan.
