She traveled by way of California and reported fine weather all the way. She took in many sights of interest while in Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Roberson had as guests Sunday Mrs. VV. L. Righmier and daughter of Central Point. Righmier joined a family group for weekend hunting in this area. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hogan, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Long and children, Kerb Hogan Sr. and Carey Hogan were hunting east of Oakland opening weekend on the Lloyd Pinkston ranch. Seven deer were bagged by members of the party. This hunting was done in the same gen eral territory where Herb and Dix ie Hogan shot bear last year. Bob Lowell, who is stationed on the Valley Forge at San Dieeo with the U.S. Navy, surprised his grandparents recently with a visit while his ship was docked in Port land. Lowell recently received his rating of radarman 1C. Jesse Lee, Gary Roberson, Leo Sparks and Mr. and Mrs. Holland Hutchings spent several duys hunt ing recently in Eastern. Oregon. They report the hunting as "poor.'' BEER KEGS "DEADLY" ; SACRAMENTO, Calif (UPI) Four youths were under arrest today on charges of assault with deadly weapons two beer kegs. California Highway Ptl. He has a "girl friend" about 65, and has been seeing her for about a year now. As he still drives his own car he has asked my sister (who lives out of town) if he and his "girl friend" can drive down to her place some Saturday and stay until Monday. My sister is a wid ow and she is very upset over the prospect of entertaining a woman she does not know. Father says he does not contemplate marriage she is only a "girl friend." Yet he says, unless his "girl friend" is invited, he will not drive down alone any more. How should this be handled? SISTERS DEAR SISTERS: Tell your sis ter to put out the welcome mat and to do it with a smile. You girls should be tickled pink that you aren't running to a nursing home with chicken soup every day. DEAR ABBY: Please help me out of this mess I got myself into. I am 14, but I liked this lifeguard so much I told him I was 17 and he believed me. I told him a bunch of other lies about where I went to school and where I lived be cause I don t live in a very nice part of town and I didn t want mm to know it. 1 gave him my telephone number.
