DEAR ABBY: If people wonder
where the teen-age morals have
gone, all they have to do is look
at what they have given us to go
by. What are we supposed to think
when !l the advertising reeks o
sex, and mothers dress their
daughters like little Lolitas? Who
do you think are the "heroes"

you I am no prude, but I'm glad

DEAR SEVENTEEN: And to

DEAR A3BY: What do you
think of a man who has been mar
ried four years, wears the wedding
band 1 bought for him but who
covers it up completely with an
other ring?
SUSPICIOUS WIFE
DEAR SUSPICIOUS: I think he's
probably covering up mora than a
wedding ring.
DEAR ABBY: A member of our

vacation with a hair piece. He has
been bald as an eagle since he
was about 30 and he went around
like that for years, then all of a
sudden, at the age 'of 55, he is
sporting a full head of hair. It
isn't even his color. Whon he did
have hair it was sandy brown, but
this wig is golden brown with red
highlights in it. I don t have to
tell you how ridiculous he looks.
When we first saw hiin, we thought
he was joking, or perhaps wear
ing it on a dare, but he thinks it
looks great. We love this guy and
wouldn't hurt his feelings for the
world, but how can we tell him
that he looks terrible?
HIS RELATIVES
DEAR RELATIVES: If he want
ed your opinion, he would have
asked you. If you really "lova
him, say nothing.
DEAR ABBY: I am puzzled as
to how a lady can presume to give
advice on shaving. I will be 55 on
my next birthday and have been
shaving since I was IV. In the past
38 years I shaved once a day, and
if I had to shave a second time I
would need to call an anesthetist.
I believe you are about as quali
fied to give advice on shaving as
was my youngest son when he was
17. When I asked him if he'd
started to shave yet, he replied,
"Gee, Dad, I've been shaving for
two years now and I cut myself
both times." Respectfully.

ceptancc during his life was the
"grant, slam force."
This bid was a jump to five no
trump to ask partner to bid a
grand slam if he held good enough
trumps. In most cases giod enough
trumps . would be a suit that in
cluded two of the top three honors.
This Culbcrtson bid has gained
popularity lately and today is used
by almost every expert. It does
not come up often, but when it
does it certainly makes grand
slam bidding easy.
South has a rockboltom mini
mum bid, or the nearest thing to
one. North doesn't really care
much how weak or strong his part
ner's opening is. All North wants
to know is if South holds both the
ace and queen of hearts.

Grand Slam Cue
Now Is Revived
(Written For NEA)
By OSWALD JACOBY
The grand slam force reveals
this very simply. He wastes no
time in shilly-shallying or getting
unnecessary information. All he
does is respond five no-trump.
south is now in the. position of
the Light Brigade. He is not to
reason why, he had just to do or
die.
With the ace and queen of hearts
he promptly bids the grand slam.
He isn't too happy with the force
until he sees the dummy. Then it
is all over but drawing trumps
and chalking up the score.
Q The bidding has been:
North Eut South West
1 Double Redou. 2

5 Pass ?.
You. South, hold:

TODAY'S QUESTION
Instead of bidding five dia
monds, your partner bids four
no-trump over your four spades.
You bid five diamonds to show
one ace and he bids live no
