Melrose Woman Returns Home From 3-Month Singapore Visit By NETTIE WOODRUFF Mrs. Charles Doerner is back at!at her home on Doerner Road in Mel- rose after several months in Singa-1 pore, Maylaya, with her son-in-law ' and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Larry i Aenis, and daughter. She visited in California with her sister, Mrs. Bertha Martig, before returning I home. Portlind Meet Attended Mrs. George Sanders and Mrs. Willard Pease wero in Portland re cently to attend the state board of managers meeting of the Ore gon Congress of PTA. Recent weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen were his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Keefor of Lafayette, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. C. II. Parks have returned from a visit in Redding, Calif., with relatives. Byron Hawkins is recuperating at home following throat surgery per formed last week in Eugene. Mrs. Dale Busenbark and JoAnn and Leta of Eugene spent Sunday with various relatives in Melrose, having come to greet Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bunston of Moscow, Kans., who were visiting the Busenbark families. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Dunkin and daughter of Gold Beach spent a day last week with their daugh ter, Mrs. David Vigue, and fam ily. Mr. and Mrs. Bob McCord and family have moved into the Kinyon rental while they are rebuilding their home which was burned re- ; cently on their place on Reston ; Iload. i Bob Kinyon and Jim Masscy were recently in Reno, visiting the ' latter's father. ! The visitors also visited al South Deer Creek with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Duncan. , Newcomers to the area are Mr. and Mrs. Willard Pease and Bon nie and Linda, who have moved to the Steve Griffith place in Elga rose. Mr. and Mrs.. Charles Johnson, who moved recently to the Scott rental on the river road, have re- turned from a trip to Los Angelea lo attend the Jehovah Witness con vention. Also attending from Mel rose were Mr. and Mrs. Merle San ders and children. , Mr. and Mrs. Ken Allen of Port land were recent weekend guests of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen.
