The dcparlmcnl has been ar- ranged for quicker and belter serv- ice to the customer. The parts counter is located next to the of fice, the cashier being only two sleps from the service counter. The large and complete depart ment has more than 100 3-by-7-foot bins, with 300 feet of parts shelv ing. It will contain more than 28.- 000 different parts. The bulky sheet ; metal parts are in a convenient up stairs room of 2,800 square feet of floor space. Hclliwell, manager for more than 23 years, maintains a perpetual j parts inventory control. This in sures the right number of parts being in stock at all times. J Hclliwell started training in parts in 1929 with Model A Fords and l has been in this business most of the time since. He joined Lock wood's when the present company j was organized in 1940. He is mar-i ricd and has one son and two j grandchildren. He and his wife. Iris, reside at 813 SE Kane St. Clark Hatfield, partsman, start ed in this line of work in 1947, and came to Lockwoods in 1955. He is married and has two children, and has lived in Itoscburg for 10 years. He resides al 1811 NW Kline St. Larry Keith has been in the parts department at Iockwood's since Aug. 28, 1901 . Marjorie commented, "It will surely be a pleasure lo have such spacious beautiful new offices in which to work and greet the many Lockwood Motors friends and cus tomers." Office clerks at Lockwood Mo tors are Nellie Hue and Donna Blanck. Nellie started with Lock wood directly out of high school and has been here five years. She and her husband, Eugene, own their home on Huberts Creek Road. She has lived in the Roseburg area all her life. Donna and her husband Daryl Blanck own their home on River Bend Hoad. She also was born in Roseburg and has lived here all her life. She came lo work for Lockwoods a year and a half ago on a part lime basis and will now be a full-lime employe.
