(Picture By Photo Lab) Wide Variety Of Events Planned For Local Air Show Next Weekend An exciting program of events was unveiled today by a commit tee which is working up plans for Roseburg's air show July 27 and 28. Activities will center around the theme of "Roseburg Airport Rec ognition Days." H. E. (Bill) Williams, general chairman, said the numerous plan ning sessions held during the past two months have been aimed at making this year's presentation "the best ever." Sponsor Named Sponsors are the Roseburg Chamber of Commerce, local chap ter of the Oregon Pilots' Associa tion (Don Sanders president), local unit of the Civil Air Patrol and Dalo, Inc. Two full days of activity are planned. Events will include pre cision flying, a pilot's clinic under direction of the pilots' association, Arrived By 6:15 P.M. Several comely Roseburg girls are vying for the title which is to be accompanied by a free trip to Crater Lake and a trophy. One Of Largest The local event has developed into one of Southern Oregon's larg est air shows. No admission will be taken for the various events, but voluntary contributions will be received at the road entrance to the airport. according to the committee. Free airplane rides are planned. All money received from the show will be used to provide addi tional improvements to the field, it was reported.
