Oregon State Fair Floral Space Ready With the Oregon State Fair less than two months away, floral space in the Oregon State Fair Floral Gardens is already being ! reserved, Elden J. Harm, floral superintendent, said today. He ask ed that all of those who desire ! space contact him as soon as pos-1 sible. The floral division has been giv en a complete renovation for the 1963 Fair. The remodeling job was made necessary by the late Octo- i ber storm which took several trees and the former floral building building down. A new long, rustic building, blending in well with the floral garden setting, is now being com pleted. The new building and gar den are surrounded by trellises, dramatic wood and plastic fences and screening. The interior of the building is finished in light natural wood with more room than former ly for garden clubs, hobby ar rangers, amateurs, and commerci al exhibits. Work got underway this week on the entrance theme garden. One of the new features is an organ and floral demonstration platform. The theme of too garden and floral show this year is "Oregon Influence" denoting the Influence that Oregon has on ths Northwest garden horticulture.
