Mendonhall won his second start of the league season, extending his streak of scoreless innings to 14. He tossed a two-hitter, striking out eight and walking four. He is expected to start on the mound against Rose burg. Starting for Roseburz will be Dick Williams, who helped win the second game against North Bend Tuesday and was credited with a flashy three-hitter last Fri day against Marshfield. Biirnham has a league record of 2-0. Roseburg will be playing with the same squad it has gone with most of the season. If Roseburg wins the one here Friday afternoon, it need only win one more Saturday at Eugene. This second game, and a third, if necessary, will take place in Eu gene Saturday, starting at 12:30 p.m. Jon Burnham, who pitched a one-hitter against Marshfield, will start mat one.
