Oddly enough, the only game in
which no homers wcro hit was

a scoreless deadlock from the

Roseburg Harriers Fall
In Triangular Track Go
The Marshtield Pirates and
North Bend Bulldogs broke even
in the point column at the trian
gular inert in Roseburg Saturday
to share the championship.
Each had 58 points. Hosting
Roseburg had sonic top, individual
performances but had to settle for
35 points.
Rosebuig's finest performance
came from Tom Dodge who broke
the school record with a polo
vault of 12 feel 6 inches. The for
mer record was 12-5 3-8.
Dodge had to share his top jump,
however, with a Marshfield soph
omore, Dennis l'arrish, who also
cleared the height.
Coach Jack Uurg also had high
praise for Al Jnelsen, Mike
Crunican and Doug DuFresne.
Joelson, who has w o n every
meet, added another victory with
a 5-foot 10 high jump. Crunican
was again unbeatable in the mile,
, and DuFresne, who has shown the
most spectacular improvement of
anyone on the squad, added al
I most another foot to his shot put

! Tho Indians were plagued by
bail luck which cost points. Crack
quartcrmiler Barry Grant was dis

Three-Team Bill
Set For Baseball
A three-team doubleheadcr has
tentatively been scheduled for to
day, as the three leaders in the
Bico-B League try to get all of
their rained out games made up
and decide a league champion.
Tentative plans call for having
the Canyonville Tigers face the
first game this afternoon, with the
Hornets then taking on the Yon
calla Eagles in the second game.
The doubleheadcr will be held ei
ther at Camas Valley or Rose
burg. If these games can be played
today, this will leave Yoncalla and
Canyonville facing each other in
two make-up games, while Camas
Valley must take on Elkton.
Going into this week's games,
Canyonville and Yoncalla are tied
with 5-0 records. Camas Valley,
3-2,. could still get into a three
way tie for the title.
