Man,, April 22, 1963 Thi News-Review, Roseburg, Ore, t CIRCUIT COURT Complaint State of Oregon, by its Highway Commission, vs. J. M. and Jane Doe Housley; city of Roseburg, and Selmer Hutchins. Suit to con demn property owned by the city but in which the other named de fendants have an interest, for wid ening of the Sutherlin-Shady sec tion of the Pacific Highway. The property is in the vicinity of the Roseburg airport, in Edenbower Orchard Tracts. The state has of fered $500 for the property. State of Oregon by its Board of f orestry vs. Silvester and Norma Hausman. Suit to condemn nroo- erty for the construction of the Johannesen Creek Forest Road. The state offers $750 for the prop erty. Ruth Purves Miller, vs. Jack Price Jr. Plaintiff asks general damages of $45,000 and special damages of $986.25 for injuries al legedly, suffered Aug. 20, 1960 in an accident on Highway 99 in the vicinity of Myrtle Creek. Plaintiff states she was a passenger in a car operated by Ben Miller which collided with that of the Price car, She claims she suffered spine, neck,, shoulder, and other injuries, including shock to the nervous sys tern. - -. . State of Oregon by its Director of Veterans Affairs, vs. Robert M. Smitn, Betty smith, Henry R. Dav is, Janet Davis, Peggy Davis, City of Sutherlin and Milt Staple. Plain. tiff asks judgment from the Smiths and Davises for $9,388.44, plus in. terest and costs and foreclosure on mortgage on property listed as Lots 12 and 13, Block 14, Amend ed Plat of Townsite of Sutherlin. Other named defendants claim an interest in the property. Davises were original purchasers, and mortgage assigned to the Smiths Robert C. LaDuke vs. Douglas County. Plaintiff demands $75,000 general damages and $5,044.10 spe cial damages for injuries alleged suffered Aug. 21, 1962, when his car allegedly struck a sunken grade in the county road immedi ately north of the bridge crossing over Lookingglass Creek. The plaintiff claims that when his car struck this place it was caused to go out of control and to leave the roadway and to crash and col lide with rocks and terrain along said roadway and to go into the ditch rlone the roadway. The lo cation was three miles north of Brockway. Plaintiff claims he suf fered extensive lacerations of the scalp, alone with fractures of the cervical vertebrae and other in juries, which are of a permanent nature. Special damages are asked to cover hospital and doctor bills, and lost wages. State of Oregon, acting by its Board of Forestry, vs. Martin E. Hill and Edna A. Hill, and Claire C. and Kathyteen R. Thurman. Suit to condemn property and as sess value of defendant's land for improvement of Johannesen Creek f orest Koad. Jflaintiff oners $2, 500 compensation. Suit to condemn property and assess damages for improve ment of Johannesen Creek Forest Road. Plaintiff offers $4,000 as com nensation. State of Oregon vs. Clifford and Wilma Leach; Umpqua National Bank. Reedsport, and state of ure- gon, by and through its State Tax Commission. Suit to condemn prop erty needed for improvement of Johannesen Creek Road. State ot ters $500. Dacraa Chester S. and Eugenia V. Witck vs. Woolley Logging Co. et al, and unknown heirs' of defendants. Plain tiffs decreed owners of property. Suit to quiet title. Judgment John Bryant vs. State Industrial Accident Commission. Based on stipulation of parties, judgment en tered granting plaintiff compensa tion for permanent partial disabil ity equivalent to 100 per cent loss function of an arm for unscheduled disability. Claim remanded to de fendant for compliance. Leonard E. Fiscue vs. State In dustrial Accident Commission. Based on stipulation, judgment en tered that case be remanded to the commission granting plaintiff further medical treatment, includ ing surgery, and that plaintiff be reinstated to temporary total dis ability status upon his reporting to a doctor for treatment pursuant to the commission's direction. Order Willis A. and Frances J. Erick son vs. John and Mary P. Rin aldi; Chris Wheeler, state engi neer, and C. O. Battels, state weighmaster. On stipulation of the Ericksons and Rinaldis, and com pliance with provisions of previous order designating ownerships and rights to spring water in the vicin ity of Hubbard Crek, final order entered designating the agreement and dismissing the case.
