Pastor Allen G. ln-1 ring ceremony at 2 p.m. Boththe bride and bridegroom are from Roseburg. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laur ence Fredlund. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. .and Mrs. Ralph Gilbert, Pink carnations and white stock were used to decorate the church. Mrs. Ai'lo Jacklin, organist, play ed the traditional wedding march. The bride's father gave her in marriage. She was charming in white lace over taffeta, with matching jacket accented with! pearl buttons. Ker bouquet was of white rosebuds. Fashion Luncheon Roseburg's most beautiful party of the week was enjoyed Tuesday, when the women of St George's Episcopal Church entertained with their annual Easter bridge-luncheon at 12 o'clock at the parish hall. Mrs. Robert H. O'Niel was general chairman of the successful and charming event. Mrs. Robert Caley, president, very graciously welcomed the members and guests. Fifty tables were reserved for the affair. The Easter motif was beautifully car ried out in the attractively appoint ed serving tables. Potted hydran gea plants formed the room decor ations. The latest spring fashions were enjoyed in a delightfully new type of style show presentation. No com mentator was used for the show. April in Paris was the theme of the style show. Guests, received printed information giving the names of the models and a descrip tion of fashions modeled. Each model carried a number corre sponding with the number on the printed sheets making identifica tion easy for the guests. During the luncheon and style show Mrs. Archie Amorde played background organ music. . .. A delightful highlight of the en tertainment was the modeling of Easter hats by members of St.; George's Church with Mrs. Caley modeling the Easter hat worn by Mrs. Mark O. Hatfield, wife of Ore-! gon's Governor. The beautifully decorated cakes made by. Mrs. Marshall Haughn were awarded as door prizes and were won by Mrs. Russell Diebl Jr. and Mrs. Ray Puckett. W Stierwalt fLucy). who has made her home at Riversdale Sanitarium for seyeral years, was! honored "in absentia" during the Sabbath School service at the Ad-i ventist Church as the oldest mem ber of the local Sabbath School and church. She celebrated her 97th birthday April 7, Members were urged to give tier a "cord shower" in lieu of much visiting for she! has not been quite so well of late. Many responded to provide a bit of sunshine. Mrs Stierwalt was born in Hutch inson, Minn., in 1S66. She grew to womanhood and was married (1893) in the same community. Twenty years later the family moved to Roseburg. There are two children. Earl of Olympia, Wash., and Mable Mrs. Arthur Warren) of Eugene. A number of years ago Mrs. Stierwalt ("Grandma Siierwall" as she is lovingly called by those who know her best) turned to making hand-woven rugs on the loom mads for her by her brother many years ago. These she lias used tor '- ana also tor saie to neip- m juk ralslng efforts to aid the missions program of her beloved church. By this means she was able to eon- tribute approximately 5200 toward the building of the new Adventist church on Garden Valley Boule vard. Recently she has been working toward the new elemen tary church school building on NW Calkins Road.
