THE GIBSON GIRLS, both of San Francisco, were in Rose
burg recently to visit old friends. They made the trip in
order that Mrs. Floyd Lewis, left, could attend the 50th
anniversary of tier commencement at University of Ore
gon in Eugene. Mrs. Lewis is the former Ruth Gibson.
Her sister is Mrs. Sybil Gerlack. Their fother was Thomas
Gibson, weatherman in Roseburg in the 1900s. A brother,
Irving is on attorney in Socramento, Calif. (News-Review

the visitors as they arrived. Their
son, Grover Leo Davis, acted as

cake was three-tiered, and decorat
ed with gold rosebuds and topped
with a gold "50."
Mrs. Weisgcrber presided at the
lacc-covcrcd gift table containing
a gold money tree and many gold
trimmed gifts.
Mrs. Wilfred Cameron, sister of
Mr. Davis, and Mrs. Otis Davis,
sister-in-law of Mr. Davis and
Mrs. King, took turns in pouring
coffee, presiding at the punch bowl,
and serving the cake, after the
guesls-of-honor had cut the first
pieco.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis were mar
ried in Dcs Moines, Iowa, by a
Methodist minister May 11, 1912.

Jones took them on a hay ride to
