New Sugar Bill

House this week passed a bill that
would increase American grow
ers' share of the nation's lucra
tive sugar market but force the
United States to continue paying
premium prices for cheap foreign
sugar. The vote was 319-72.
The bill now goes to the Senate

which insure above market prices
for the chosen foreign suppliers. .
