Junla Caley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Caley, is able to be out again, after being ill the last week following a tonsilectomy. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Grimes, Mrs. T. Pattison and sons and Norm Briggs are guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Freeman for the Easter weekend. Herb Hobl, student at Southern Oregon College at Ashland, is spending the Easter weekend here visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Hobi. Alice Mae Flegel, who is a stu dent at St. Helen's Hall in Port land, is home for the Easter vaca tion visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert G. Flegel. Mrs. Willard Crouch and son. Tommy, of San Jose, Calif., are spending the week here visiting the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stewart, and other relatives and friends. Bigger is being transferred to Medford. Mrs. Howard E. Coleman has left for Corvallis to be with her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. John O'Leary, 1312 N. 29th St. She expects to undergo surgery in Corvallis. Miss Janet Inman, accompanied by her grandmother, Mrs. C. L. Inman, arrived Friday from Spring field to spend Easter weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy B. Inman, 335 SE Pitzer St. Miss Inman, a sophomore at the Uni versity of Oregon, is living in Springfield this winter. Vince Wroble, director of Volun teer Services, and Russ Madson, manual art thereapy director, rep resented the Roseburg VA Hospital at the district convention of the Oregon Federation of Garden Clubs, Umpqua District No. 16, held Thursday in Glendale. Thir teen clubs were represented at the convention. Mrs. Frank Perrault has left for her home in Sheridan, Mont., fol lowing a visit here with her son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Christensen, and children, Jeff and Brad. She was accom panied to Portland by Mrs. Chris tensen, who returned here in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Singleton and baby son, Scott Michael, of Port land, are spending the Easter weekend here visiting the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Singleton, on SE Chadwick St. P. T. Bubar of this city has been spending the last week in Long Beach, Calif., visiting his daughter, Mrs. D. R. McKillop, and family. Miss JoAnne Freeman is spend ing the Easter vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Freeman. She returned Thursday from a week's convention of the University of California at Berke ley, where she was one of nine delegates representing the Univer sity of Oregon's Associated Wom en's Students. While in California, she visited Dr. and Mrs. E. W. Carter and daughter, Linda, former residents of this city and now of Sacramento. Ina Breier, Dora Boss, Joan Black, Florence Hchn and Alice Hamacher, represented N. Doug las Grange, and Elva Sneed, Jane Asker, of American Legion Auxil iary, Drain; Bethel Smith, Coos Bay, American Legion Auxiliary, and Guy Moore, Camas Valley Grange, assisted with the Volun teer Service department at the VA Hospital here Thursday. Members of the Roseburg High School Span ish class entertained the patients I in the auditorium with a play. Tenmile PTA, audio visual room at school, 7:30 p.m. Riddle Teacher Is Delegate By ERMA BEST Mr. and Mrs. Guy McGee of Riddle were in Sacramento, Calif, the past weekend where Mrs. Mc Gee, Riddle High School commerce instructor, was a delegate from the Oregon Business Education Assoc iation to the Western Business As sociation convention. The assoclatior includes the states of Alaska, Arizona, Califor nia, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nev ada, Utah, and Oregon. Mrs. Mc Gee was a panel participant for the Small High School Caucus, with the topic, "How Do We Im prove Our Image of Business Ed ucation to the Public." The theme of the convention was "Progress, Politics, and Prediction." Mrs. Fricke of Glendale sub stituted for Mrs. McGee on Mon day. Former Residents Visit Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Worsham and son, Billy, former Riddle residents, now living in Santa Maria, Calif., accompanied by Mrs. Worsham's father, Walter Stokes, are guests this week at the J. L. Aikins home and visiting other Riddle friends. Mrs. John Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. h. H. Dawson, and son, Scott, arrived recently from Bamberg, Germany, where they spent the past ten months with Hughes, who is stationed there with the Army. Mrs. Hughes and son traveled from Bramerhaven, Germany, to New York on the Alexander Patch, then flew from New York to Roseburg.
