Dinner will be held from Girls Initiated Wednesday Night Beckjr McCIane, Janet Allen, Margaret Shanka and Vicki Irwin were initiated into South Douglas Assembly, Rainbow or Girls, at their meeting Wednesday evening at the Masonic Temple in Canyon ville with Andrea GUI, worthy ad visor, presiding. During the meeting, the girls planned a "socle hop". In the dining room, decorated lavishly with stylized autumn leaves, refreshments were served to honor the new initiates by Beth Chappell, Andrei Gill, Sue Hover son and Sharon Olson. The ceremony took place in the Drain Methodist Church Saturday evening, with only the immediate family and a few chosen friends present. Carol Thornton and Frank Jacobs were tne only attendants. Kenneth Police Reserves Banquet Given At Don Munson Home The lovely home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Munson on Dogwood Drive in Roseburg was the scene of the annual banquet of the Rose burg City Police Reserves Satur day evening. The playroom had been gaily decorated with colored streamers and balloons. The long table was covered with a brown linen cloth, and was centered with a large brass bowl, filled with bronze and golden chrysanthemums. The delightful dinner was serv ed to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Har ris. Kiwanians Hosts At Ladies' Night Grant Ledgerwood was a guest of the Winston-Dillard Kiwanis Club Monday evening, when La ladies' Night was observed at a d ner meeting held at the Dillard School Cafetorium, with Evelyn Nickerson catering. Ledgerwood showed colored slides of Holland which he took during his one-year stay as an ex change student in that country. the tables were decorated by Mrs. Otto Jones and were attrac tive with centerpieces of assorted bouquett of chrysanthemums in white vases with the Kiwanis Club insignia. She gave a most interesting resume of the trip and of PEO work with International Peace Scholarships and Cottey College, girls junior college in Nevada, Mo., and their educational loan fund available to all high school gradu ates.
