Swim Team To Start Winter Activities The Roseburg Swim team will begin winter activities and prac tice Saturday between 5 and 7 p.m. at the YMCA pool. Larry Laremo, the new swim ming coach, will begin the winter season with a clinic type workout, emphasizing individual problems and swimming techniques. Laremo stated that prospects for winter competition look good, and meets will probably start in mid-January, depending on league rules. This will be the first year Rose burg swimmers have had a chance to take part in a regular winter program under a coach. Last year the Parents Swimming Associa tion directed the winter practices at the YMCA which was com pleted last fall. The swimmers, however, did not get a chance at competitive action against other teams until the summer program started. All swimmers interested in com peting for the Roseburg team are asked to attend Saturday's prac tice. - Laremo comes to Roseburg from Bend. He and his family recently arrived and he will be on the faculty at Fremont Junior High School.
