Win ners were announced as follows: north-south, Mrs. Edwin Myers anf Mrs. Larry Holt, first; Mrs. Walter Malone and Mrs. C. J. Brent, sec ond, and Mrs. James Rex and Mrs. Herbert Carter, James Rex and Herbert Carter, third; east west, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Huston, first; Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Ashen feklcr, Dr. and Mrs. C. H. Babbitt, second; Dr. Bruce Tuck and Fred Harder. Mrs. Loy Linaman and Stan Adams, third. A Sunday morning breakfast j with a beautifully appointed table and a menu planned tor epicurean1 gourmets was enjoyed at the love-! ly home of Mildred Herman by j a large number of past presidents; of the Roseburg Business and l'ro-' fessional Women's Club. Some years ago Klossie Virden : and Mrs. Herman instituted this pleasant type of meeting after the I close of the regular stated meet ings of the club. With the years I this gathering has becoino tradi tional with the club. Not only is the breakfast and fellowship en-i joyed but it has its constructive features as well. The hostesses planned an inter-i esling program. Two features of' value were: first, for each past officer to make suggestions fur a belter club in the light of her past Bible School at the Pine Grove Church honored her on her 15th; birthday with a lovely decorated j cake and other refreshments. i land: Miss A. Zoe Lewis of Los I sage was the white orchid from her bride's bouquet. The newlyweds left on a trip to Winnipeg, Man., Canada, and experience, and second, the re view of accomplishments of each past officer during her term. The concentrated summary of worth while social and civic activities was very impressive and motiva ting. Sirs. Helgeson. past president for this year, received a lovely gift of jewelry. Among the past presidents who were able to attend the breakfast were: Vera Kredrickson, A 1 v i a Weatherell, Martha Wishart, president-elect; Matilda S. Brooks, now slate national defense chairman; Kdilh LaBore, Ada Jane Dick, Lil- presidents of I he club. are now at home at 447 ictona, B. C. Mrs. Demchuk was graduated: from Roseburg High School. Mr. i Demchuk received his schooling in Winnipeg and has served in the I Royal Canadian Navy four years. Coming from out of loWn to at tend the wedding were Mr. and .Mrs. Robert Myers and sons, Ter ry, David, and Jim; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Myers and son. Gregory, and Mrs. Jay Collins, all of Port- Four And Ten Has Meet The Four and Ten Club members and their husbands met for a de lightful potluck dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Burr. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tucker, Dr. and Mrs. B. A. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. 11. A. Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Radford. Lovely Wedding Takes Place Here Hiss Beverly Ann Myers, daugh-' ter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Myers of Roseburg, and Stephen Mat thew Demchuk, son of Mrs. 0. Demchuk of Winnipeg, Man., Can ada, were united in marriage in a candlelight service at 8 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Hoseburg. The impressive double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. John E. Adams. Mrs. Homer Grow played soft organ music as the guests were seated. Preceding the ceremony, the candles were lighted by Marvin Jlyers, brother of the bride. Mrs. Clifford Domas sang "I'll Walk Beside You." Miss Caryl Myers was maid of honor to her sister. She wore a dress fashioned with a modified scoop neckline and full skirt of soft pink organdy over pink taf feta. Her hat was of pink net with flowers forming the crown. She carried a cascade type bouquet ol white gladioli. Miss Lois .Bryant and Miss Nancy Stacey wore matching dresses of mint green organdy over green taffeta. Their hats were of green net, wun now ers forming the crown. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was love ly in a princess - style wedding gown of white slipper satin, fash ioned with long tight-fitting sleeves, full skirt and train and a shirred bodice with portrait neckline. Tiny while satin buttons were from the back neckline to the waist. Her full-length wedding veil was of net edged in rose-point lace. The gown and veil had been worn by the bride's mother at her wedding and had been made by the bride's ma ternal grandmother. Her bride's I IPS t ( -vShei bouquet was a beautiful white or chid surrounded by tiny w bite vanda orchids and orchids tied to white satin ribbons. Members of the Royal Canadian Navy taking part in the ceremony were Richard Hope of Vancouver, B. C, acting as best man; and Robert Kerkacz of Winnipeg, Man., and Robert Fleniak of Edmonton, Alta., who did the ushering. As the couple knelt at the allar, Mrs. Domas sang "The Wedding Prayer." Mrs. Myers, mother of the bride, wore a navy blue sheath dress and matching jacket. Her acces sories were deep pink and her corsi ge was an orchid with a pink throat. Mrs. Richard Eastman and Mrs. Franklin Wilson had charge of decorating the reception room and used a pink and white color scheme. White net covered the pink table cloths and tiny nosegay3 of Cecil Brunner roses were caught up at the corners and center. The punch bowl was surrounded with net and tiny rosebuds. , The bride and bridegroom cut the first slice of cake after which the cake was cut and served by Mrs. Leonard J. Messeth, a close friend of the bride's family, and Mrs. Jack Myers of Beaverton, aunt of the bride. The punch was served by Mrs. Clayton Myers of Portland and Mrs, Harry Ander son, aunts of the bride. Mrs. Rob ert Myers of Portland and Mrs, Charles Myers of Olympia, Wash., aunts of the bride, served the cot fee. Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, Mrs, Emery Williams, Mrs. Delton Walker and Mrs. Franklin Wilson had charge of the refreshments Mrs. Jack Chapman made the de licious punch. Miss Monica Anderson, cousin of the bride, and Miss Christie Nes seth assisted about the room. Each wore delicately fashioned wristlets of Cecil Brunner roses. Michael and Geary Anderson, cousins of the bride, and Laura Jean Nesseth distributed the tiny net rice bags to the guests. Miss Janice Put man had charge of the guest book Misses Sandra, Toni, and Jennie Ruth Myers, cousins of the bride, had charge of the gift table. For traveling the bride wore a full-skirted moss green silk print dress and fitted jacket. Her cor- ANNOUNCEMENT hos been made of the forthcoming mar riage of Miss Carmen Cooper, daughter of Roy T. Cooper, and niece of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Lucas of Roseburg, to Richard Rusnak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Rusnak of Johnstown, Pa. The wed ding will take place July 8 at 2 p.m. ot Holy Cross Luth eran Church with the Rev. Paul Kushner officiating. Miss Cooper was graduated from Roseburg Senior High School and was employed as an X-ray technician at Mercy Hospital prior to joining the Women's Army Corps. While in the corps she went to studied X-ray technology ond school at Brooks Army Hospi tal, San Antonio, Texas, and lated was based at Fitzsim mon Army Hospital, Denver. She is now ot Ft. Ritchie, Md. Rusnak was araduoted from Johnstown High School and; has been in the U. S. Army the i last three years. He was with' the military police for twoj years in the Canal Zone and ' for the last yeor was stationed j at Ft. Ritchie.
