Khrushchev when Kisenhower
took him ridini!.
Khrushchev said he wanted the
Kisenhower version and that is
what his purchasing agents are
after, even though it's likely to
cost a tidy sum.
The commercial model of the
Sikorsky S'8 hellcopler Kisenhow
er uses sells for around $200,000.
Hut wilh extras added, as in the
tuo craft supplied for presidential
fhchts hy the Army and Marine
Corps, the cost mounts closer to
Moo ooo.
These planes boast such nice
ties as bullet-proof fuel tanks, air
conditioning, soundproofing and
special communications gear. And
the Soviets want to malch this on
the craft for Khrushchev.

WASHINGTON (AP) An of
ficer of Pacific Can ir Klectric
Co. said here he would recom
mend his companies and its sub
sidiaries carry out alone, if neces
sary, a project to import Canad-
. lan gas.
! James S. Moulton, vice presi
dent of Pli Si K and the Pacific
(;ag Transmission Co., was asked
at a Power Commission hearing
what would happen if the com
I mission granted the PGT permit
: but denied related applications of
Pacific Northwest Pipeline Corp.
! and Montana Power Co.
I PGT proposes to build a plpc
I line from the Canadian border to
I the California-Oregon boundary to
deliver 400 million cubic feet of
gas daily to PG & K.
The pipeline also would transport
an additional 130 million cubic
feet daily for delivery to Pacific
Northwest.
Anolher PG & K subsidiary in
Canada would buy the gas for de
livery to California, plus another
30 million cubic feet daily for
ultimate resale to Montana Pow
er Co.
Moullnn said he could not pre
dict what action his company's
direclors would take if (he Pacific
Northwest and Montana applica
tions were denied, but he would
recommend that the permit be ac
cepted. In that event, he said, there
would be excess capacily in the
pipeline that could be used to sup
ply gas to Sand Point, Idaho, Kla
math Kails and Bend, Ore., and
other communities along the pro
posed route of the line.
