Mrs. Jim Clark and small daugh ter and baby son of this city left Monday for Hampton, Ore., to spend a few days with Mr. Clark, who is working there. Mrs. Val Strong is receiving medical attention at Douglas Com munity Hospital. She was stricken ill Monday an taken tthe hos pital for observation. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Laird have returned to their home on Win chester Street, following a stay in Brewster and Sitkum visiting rela tives and Sunday attending the an nual Coos County Pioneer picnic. Miss Nancy- Hibbard, nurse at Emanuel llosoital in Portland, has been spending the last few days here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lvle ilibbard, on SE Jackson Street. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morgan of Portland and their son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Orley Hc-r-ron of Wheaton. III., arrived to day for a three-day visit with Mrs, Morgan's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Berney. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Miller returned to their home on W. Hazel Street in Roseburg today, following the last several days in San Francisco at tending the baseball games. While in California thev pnioved 3 visit with Mrs. Miller 's sister. Miss Patricia Riley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Riley of this city, left Tuesday for Richland, Wash., to spend the remainder of the week visiting. From there, she will go to Gearhart to spend a week at the Episcopal camp, be fore returning to her home here. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Kelley and daughters. Karla and Lecann, of Imoni, Iowa, were Sunday visit ors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hari Kelley. The two men are cousins. The visitors had been m Washington state and were en route to Los Angeles. Both fam ilies enjoyed a day of deep-sea fishing at Winchester Bay. A suast this-'week at the new home of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Freeman is Elliot Freeman, who resides in Salem. He arrived Mon day and will remain here until Thursday, at which time Mr. Free man and daughter, JoAnne, will take him home and pick up Mrs. Freeman, who will have finished her summer school work in Eu gene at that time.
